Gerber Residence

We were called in to redesign a yard for a european family. Their primary requirements were that the space could be used for ball games etc, but also have a zero maintenance and water requirement for the long periods that the family were back at home in Europe.

The style of the house is firmly post modern,  we chose to continue that asthetic into the outdoor space by continuing the interor theme of exposed CMU.

 (concrete masonry units- grey concrete blocks). 

All of the windows in the house are natural pine so we ulitlized natural cedar for the fence to continue that color tone outside too.

Finally, a high quality synthetic grass was used as a playing surface.
